With the passing of PAS Member of Parliament for Bukit Gantang, 50-year-old Roslan Shaharum, today (Al-Fatihah for him), Bukit Gantang is set to witness a by-election soon.

And as with the practices of the past, instant physical development and promises of ‘good life’ are expected to descend upon this durian-drenched area near the town of Taiping. Put another way, Santa Claus will be there as large as life.

Coming on the heels of the Perak political upheaval that involves PR, BN and the Perak Palace, this by-election promises to be a hot political contest worth watching intensely.

Yes. Bukit Ganting voters will be benefiting from the by-election because of millions of money will be poured in. Take the money and teach the BN and Najib another lesson. See when BN will change…..

    Al-Fatihah to MP Roslan Shaharum.

In the event of a bi-election in Bukit Gantang, rains of golds promises will downpour this areas as in KT. But moral votes will be what is anticipated.

By Election? With the bagful of evil tricks and “takut kalah” attitude,I wont be surprised if BN let PAS win the election uncontested.

    Should we sing

    Here comes Najib!
    Here comes Najib!
    Right down Bukit Gantang!
Samy and Tee Keat and all his cronies
    are pulling on the reins.
    Bells are ringing, pakatan cursing;
    All is merry and bright.
Hang your stockings and say your prayers,
    ‘Cause Najib comes tonight.

Yes, take the money, it is a gift . It is only corruption if you take the money and give your vote in return. Anyway it is the rakyat’s money in the first place.
Remember Ijuk? the money is not coming forever, so rakyat Bukit Gantang, accept the gift while it is there. If PR menang they will offer you more gifts in the next PRU in order to entice you to their side. Play smart.

Sure of not Chinese only 10.9% in Bukit Gantang ?

The write up from Malaysiakini had this “In last March’s election, Roslan defeated Umno treasurer Azim Zabidi by a majority of 1,566 votes. Bukit Gantang is a Malay majority seat with 27% Chinese and 10% Indian votes.”

Otherwise what is Gerakan doing in an 88% Malay majority seat ?

Sadly for someone like Roslan to leave us so early. Changkat Jering in Bukit Gantang Parliament is my hometown. To tell the truth, Roslan was more prominent and closer to the people there compared to … Osman. … People in Bukit Gantang will show BN a lesson.

It is about time that we teach them a lesson that Malaysia is not in the 60s, 70s or the 80s anymore where the people will be dumb enough to believe whatever the ruling elite wants them to beleive. It is like a game, we have lost some ground, here is the chance to gain it back, one in Bukit Gantang and the other in Bukit Selambau. The MIC will be waiting eagerly to grab the seat in Kedah with all sorts of promises to the Indians but not being able to keep the Indians from being continously tortured and killed mysteriously in police lock ups. Whereas in Bukit Gantang, the Perakians must take this as an opportunity to reply to the stealing of power by the ruling elite from the people’s choice. God has given us the chance lets not waste it. MB Nizar is a good bet and so will be Mohd Sabu if the PAS leadership has got no objections to it but let the people of Perak decide. Whereas in Bukit Selambau, the best bet will be PKR Parliamentarian of Padang Serai Gobalakrishnan. This PKR stalwart will stand a good chance to retaining the seat for the PKR.

God is with us, we cannot let them win again after all this decades of leading us by the nose.

    ASALAMUALAIKUM,

MB NIZAR WILL BE THE BEST CANDIDATE FOR BKT GANTANG.

INSYAALLAH PAS WILL FIELD MB NIZAR
AND LET PERAKIANS VOTE TO SEE JUST HOW WELL LIKED MB NIZAR IS.

GOD REALLY WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS.

    AMEEN.

  15. 17 My2cen 10 February 2009 at 12:29 am

Ah, Najib bringing more money to Perak.

Good people of Bkt Gantang, here’s your chance to show them who is Boss, You or Najib! The new MB is throwing money wherever he goes, just accept it and Thank God some of it is coming back to the rakyat. Then Vote for PR!

  16. 18 adolf 10 February 2009 at 1:37 am

Najib must be shown that nobody will be allowed to trample upon, attack or make a mockery of our nation’s Constitution – the highest laws of the land.

An attack on our Constitution is an attack on the very basic/fundamentals freedom and rights of each and every citizen of Malaysia. These rights and freedom are enshrined and protected under our Constitution

As the Constitution protects the monarchy and also Islam as the official religion, any attack on the Constitution is also an attack on these fundamental values of our society.

If we were to ever allow perpetrators to desecrete our Constitution even once, there will be no turning back the clock.

Send out a strong message that the people will never ever allow anyone to mess around with our Constitution.

To those who dare defy the will of the people, we shall show them the door to oblivion!

And once again, the circus begins.

While the rest of the world looks to their leaders to lead them out of the gloom of a recession – some say ‘depression’ – we are dancing around with another by-election. Sigh.

And all the focus will be on that. But when all is decided and the spoils divided – there may be nothing left for them to ‘rule’.

  19. 21 sk keung 10 February 2009 at 1:08 pm

take whatever they offer to u. Vote with your heart & soul. money is not everything – there is something inside our heart we called it honesty & pride. nobody can take that away. 10years down the road- tell your children how proud u are on that day when u voted with your heart & soul.
