‘Tis the season to be wary

Certain politicians of the Pakatan Rakyat may want to take heed of the advice given by PKR deputy president Dr Syed Husin Ali, i.e. ‘to stop airing their differences in the media’.

For washing dirty linen in public can predictably serve as a useful ideological ‘ammunition’ for certain quarters particularly in light of the impending Kuala Terengganu by-election.

In this regard, Dr Syed Husin might also have been mindful of the BN-controlled MSM and their reportorial inclination especially in times like this.

Additionally, Pakatan leaders may want to get their act together lest they’d be perceived, rightly or wrongly, as facing ‘serious rift’, if not irreconcilable difference, in the political alliance.

BE WARY HOW YOU ARE BEING CARRIED

During the sensitive season to be wary
Don’t be overloaded with burdens to carry
With so many hatchets waiting to be buried
Please don’t lean on wrong shoulders to be carried

The mainstream media would spin the simple story of a 10mm long earthworm into an epic about a 10ft long python. Yes, be wary. Don’t give them any opportunities.

Those in PR who bitch and whine should get out and stay out. Better still, resign as ADUN or MP. Believe me, in two weeks no one knows you without the political platform offered by PAS/PKR/DAP. Petty minds are never made for great things.

These politicians already forget in less that 9 months since they were elected, that they are betraying the very people who voted and placed their trusts in them.

By leaving the party they were voted in, they are only showing their true colors of being self-centred with their own self-interests and agenda more important.

I say, let them go. If they don’t go, sack them. We do not need such self-serving politicians….

come on, are you that naive? politicians only serve themselves. if people want to air dirty laundry, they have only themselves to blame, not the media (controlled or not).
