Apologia doesn’t live here anymore

Malaysiakini reported today that the ‘elusive Ahmad Ismail, the man at the centre of a “racial slur” controversy, said he would not apologise even after the deputy prime minister has already done so on his behalf’.

And Ahmad defiantly reiterated that ‘As far as I am concerned, I did not say or do anything wrong. So why should I apologise?’

So are we to conclude that the hurt that is being experienced by the Chinese community in particular and other non-Malay communities in general is merely the result of their figment of imagination?

Given such a pronouncement, of what value is the apology that was expressed recently by Deputy Premier Najib on behalf of Ahmad?

By the way, given the trendy practice of recent days, does Ahmad still need to swear on the Quran to prove to the world that he really believes that what he said or did recently in Permatang Pauh was nothing wrong or unethical?

One wonders how the leadership of UMNO and of the BN would respond to this act of defiance.

Go on and continue to be that bloody arrogant type that he is. For all I know it might help make Sept 16 comes even quicker.
(And can some one find an appropriate word to describe this moron)

Note he did not deny uttering the racial slur. Perhaps he believes it is ok to utter such things because his leaders have said worse things.

Anyway when have our leaders said sorry for anything?

He is challenging AB to take action against him and you will see the mamak come out to support him.

Why do we need an apology from him or UMNO for that matter? They are making it easier for those on the fence to decide to abandon the party and make 916 a reality.

    Hi everyone,

A third-tier UMNO leader in open defiance of its No. 1 and No. 2! An open mockery of TPM’s recent apology!!

And, how to make sense of the PM’s earlier statement that this Ahmad Ismail fellow didn’t mean what he said in the ceramah when the former declared in a press conference that he had not been able to contact this fellow yet!

By being arrogant and defiant, this Ahmad Ismail fellow is clearly challenging UMNO and BN to do their worse. More important though, he has aggravated the damage done to UMNO and BN! UMNO must be at its weakest when even a third-tier politician can defy his President and Vice-President.

Tough guys like Ahmad Ismail never say “Sorry!” Look at his face. Umno warlord written all over it. Nothing has changed in a hundred years with Tempurungism a la Umno. In any case, an apology from Ahmad Ismail won’t save Umno/BN from political oblivion. Selamat Tenggelam!

These morons never learn their lesson. That’s why they lost the by-election. If given a chance for snap poll I can forecast that the BN will not only lost their seats but most of them will lose their deposits. DSAI and his PR please have the courage to fight on and you have our support to wipe off these arrogant, selfish and self interested people. Long live PAKATAN RAKYAT and PR do it. HURRAY

Ahmad Ismail… the late Abang Zakaria… Birds of a feather. Sama sahaja.

Swaggeringly arrogant, supremely confident of their immunity from disciplinary action from their so-called party leaders. Racist to the core, fanning the ketuanan flames, milking every ounce from the tried but trite UMNO pembela bangsa party line.

Once it served them well. To the extent that Abang Z even thumbed his nose at the Sultan’s orders. So what is new about Ahmad Ismail’s show of defiance to PM/UMNO president Abdullah Badawi? Biasa jer.

Indeed, it is very likely that Abdullah Badawi needs Ahmad Ismail much, much more than Ahmad needs Abdullah.

Good thing is, such crass uncouth behaviour is doing a far better job of burying UMNO and Barisan than anyone or any organisation outside of BN can.

Just like the best advertisement is word-of-mouth from folks to the other people who know them, there is no clearer evidence of the rot in UMNO/BN than the thrash warlords like Ahmad Ismail so proudly spout. No need to dig graves for them. They are hanging themselves with the rope they demanded as their birth-right.

But that being said, UMNO was once an invaluable asset to the nation. It was pivotal in the fight for Merdeka. Its leaders sacrificed and fought for us, together with leaders of some other similarly pivotal parties.

It can still be revamped and restored if the gangrene is radically excised. It can once again serve the nation meritously, perhaps as part of a credible Opposition. But there is a lot of spring-cleaning which will need to be done, a lot of soul-searching and repentance. Whether there is enough true selfless leadership in the party, whether the party members can be motivated to empower such a re-birth, only UMNO itself can answer. I certainly hope so.

Given the current trend, I think he should swear on the quran like his friends did.
Maybe they should even teach that in school.

When you want to ‘feel’ innocent, swear that on the quran.

The most entertaining drama series to watch:
    Badawi vs 916
    Najib vs Altantuya
    ISA vs Hindraf
    Saiful vs his asshole
Ahmad Ismail vs all Malaysian Chinese
    Fight goes on…
