Long road to safety?

Are we to deduce that roadblocks, which often result in traffic jams and frayed nerves, are destined to be part of our daily lives, if recent incidents in KL and Selangor are of any guide?

Today’s NST reports of Selangor police’s plan to mount roadblocks at ’22 points in the state for security purposes and to check on road menaces’.

Does this mean that security has become untenable these days? Whose security are we really talking about here?
