It will be interesting to see how the legal challenge mounted by Gobind Singh against the Dewan Rakyat speaker pans out — soon after the judgement made by the Federal Court in the case of the legal challenge set by Zambry Kadir against the Perak assembly speaker.
This report from Malaysiakini:
Gobind to challenge his suspension in court
Suspended Puchong member of parliament Gobind Singh will be filing a suit tomorrow against Dewan Rakyat speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia over his 12-month suspension.
The suit will be filed at the Kuala Lumpur High Court, said Gobind’s father Karpal Singh.
The legal action follows a decision last week by the Federal Court in allowing a challenge by BN’s Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Abd Kadir and his exco members against their suspension from the Perak assembly by assembly speaker.
“The Perak case has opened up a precedent for the matter (suspension) to be taken to the Federal Court,” said Karpal, also the Bukit Gelugor member of parliament.
Gobind’s action, when filed tomorrow, will be the first of its kind taken against a decision made by a Dewan Rakyat speaker.

Yeah, it will be a case that you can challenge state but not federal. lagi teruk our constitution after that.
it is nice to see how they react right ?So let see the show of who is powerful….Federal Court or the Speaker so we will know which is which. If they are unable to grant this issue the the raykatwill know very well what is all about in this country. This is the BeEnd of the story and will never survive another 4 years down the raod.Becareful of your judgement the raykat is watching…
two wrongs don’t make a right.
people need to voice out loud that they won’t stand for the first wrong and get that remedied.
Dear YB Gobind, and Pakatan team,

All this shouldn’t have hapened at all.
A bad precedent has been set.
Yes, it would be interesting to see how this pans out. I’ve noticed how we keep proving this old saying wrong: you can’t have your cake and eat it, too. Apparently, in Malaysia, everything boleh, no?
wao…
now it turn to
Kehakiman VS Badan Penggubal Undang Undang!
