Above is a weekly programme planned by the Gerakan Mansuhkan ISA (or Abolish ISA Movement, GMI) to remind us all of the need to stay vigil for those who are still detained under the ISA, including Raja Petra Kamarudin. The programme also marks the 21st anniversary of ‘Operasi Lalang’.
The vigil starts tonight at 9.30 pm in front of Dewan Sri Penang in George Town, Penang. Bring your candles or torchlights along.
In this regard, one is also mindful of the detention of blogger Syed Azidi Syed Aziz, better known as ‘Sheih Kickdefella’, under the Sedition Act.
Concerned Malaysians and others, I am sure, are relieved to know that Teresa Kok has just been released this afternoon. Thank God for that.

In addition, there’s also a write-up by the chairperson of the working committee of the GMI, Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, who argues that the ISA violates Islam. See here.
