Well, that’s what Sarawak’s Deputy Chief Minister Dr George Chan predicted about tomorrow.
To be sure, he’s not the only politician who has checked out his crystal ball. Sabah politicians on this side of the political divide have also made similar forecast.
And of course certain leaders from the other side of the political divide would tell you that there would be a change by tomorrow.
Whatever the case may be, ordinary Malaysians are obviously waiting with bated breath after weeks of speculation and intense politicking.
According to a Bernama report, Dr. Chan brushed aside Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Anwar Ibrahim’s Sept 16 deadline to topple the Barisan Nasional (BN) government.
‘Nothing will happen (tomorrow) and someone will give excuses why it didn’t happen,’ he told reporters after British High Commissioner Boyd McCleary paid a courtesy call at his office in Petra Jaya, here.
Dr Chan, who is also Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) president, said all the 30 BN members of parliament (MPs) from Sarawak, including the six from SUPP, would not cross over to back Anwar.
But he also said that change in the BN component parties was vital for the betterment of the people.
‘The country demands change, even the Americans want change. I told my SUPP fellows that if “you don’t change, people will change you”. So, it is important that change must take place when necessary.
