Thousands of petrol price hike protestors have poured into the Kelana Jaya stadium in defiance of Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar’s warning that the gathering is illegal and therefore it should be frowned upon by the public.
Many people are seen donning ‘Protes’ t-shirts and buying drinks and souvenirs in an atmosphere that looks more like a carnival. There are, of course, speeches made by several politicians.
But more have yet to come tonight when leading politicians of the Pakatan Rakyat, including Anwar Ibrahim, are scheduled to make their much-awaited appearance and fiery speeches.
It is noteworthy at this juncture that the police, according to the online update of Berita Minggu today, had issued a warning that the Sedition Act would be used against the organisers of the gathering and speakers whose speeches they would consider as having elements of sedition and defamation.
Incidentally, Bernama’s latest report on the gathering makes an interesting read, especially for keen observers of Malaysian journalism and other concerned Malaysians.

in Bernama apanama report…
they called us extremist/… hahhahaha
those who call to complaint are BN supporters…. many residents walk to the stadium to join, including those people live in the bunglow near the golf club.
The Jacob’s walk of life was cancelled because most of its participants wanted to go to Kelana Jaya Stadium…. BTW.. it was scheduled to be at Taman Pertanian Bukit Cerakah, Shah Alam… Do the reporter know how far THE DISTANCE BETWEEN those 2 places??? Section 8 Shah Alam (where the walk of life is planned) is many many miles away from Kelana Jaya Stadium… so the security threat is never the reason… What a stupid Bernama report….
